Minnetonka, MN- In October, Hennepin County Ridgedale Library will host the 4th annual ART Abilities Gallery in celebration of national disability awareness month. Artwork created by people with developmental disabilities will be on display at the library October 5-19. The artists involved are clients of organizations such as Hammer Residences, Inc., Opportunity Partners and more.

“Telling Your Story” is this year’s theme encouraging individuals with disabilities throughout Minnesota to tell their personal story through artistic expression. The exhibit will feature approximately 45 pieces of artwork using mediums such as oils, watercolor and chalk.

Four Hammer artists will proudly display their artwork, chosen from a selection by Hammer’s Art Committee. These artists have also invited their families to join them for a special Artist and Family Reception on opening day, October 5 from noon to 1 pm. The general public is also invited to celebrate the opening of this special exhibit.
