The people we serve live in group homes, apartment settings and family homes, allowing us to provide them with individualized attention and support.

Employment Opportunities

Hammer is hiring enthusiastic, qualified people to work afternoons, evenings, overnights and weekends, providing support to the individuals we serve. We are looking for people to fill the following positions:

Direct Support Professional
Provide support, training and assistance to individuals in their home, in areas such as realizing dreams, building relationships, activity planning, transportation, cooking, cleaning and home maintenance.

Assistant Program Manager
Provide same duties as a Direct Support Professional plus assist the Program Manager with administrative duties.

Program Manager
Supervise daily operations of group home, which include staff supervision and scheduling, facilitating team meetings, crisis intervention and direct care.

Our homes are located in the cities of Minnetonka, Maple Grove, New Hope, Plymouth, St. Louis Park and Wayzata.

Compensation
We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees (32 hours or more per week), which includes:

Training
The staff who provide the direct care make all the difference in the quality of life of the people we serve. Employees receive coaching, modeling, support, oversight, and backup from the supervisory staff, many of whom have worked direct care themselves. We provide formal and on-the-job training for all employees, which include mandatory and elective opportunities to enhance effectiveness while supporting people with developmental disabilities.
