As part of our commitment to provide a lifelong home for those we serve, Hammer makes necessary improvements to ensure people continue to live comfortably and securely. With rising costs and shrinking government resources, we rely more than ever on generous donors to help fund our home improvement projects.

Family members inquire frequently about the availability of our services, hoping Hammer can provide a secure and nurturing home for their loved one. This fund was created to help purchase or build new homes in response to families in need. In Hennepin County alone, 1,500 people with disabilities are waiting for the kind of quality services Hammer provides.

Since only basic necessities are covered through government funding, these gifts provide for medical procedures and equipment not paid by Medicaid, household furnishings, clothing and activities that support living a full and meaningful life.
Staff and Resident Education and Training Fund (click here to donate)
This fund offers an opportunity for our committed staff members to advance their education, increase their earning potential and provide optimal services. Clients may also use this fund to participate in educational opportunities such as the annual self-advocacy conference. Give to this fund now
Tim Nelson Legacy Fund (click here to donate)
In August 2011 former Hammer CEO, Tim Nelson, passed away. Tim’s family and Hammer leaders have initiated the Tim Nelson Legacy Fund to honor his memory. Your gifts to this fund will be used for innovative projects that support Hammer’s mission into the future.
Transportation Fund (click here to donate)
This fund provides safe and accessible transportation for more than 200 people served in Hammer’s residential programs. As our clients age, we need to plan for their future to ensure we are able to care for them during their entire lifetime. Accessible vehicles will be critical to meeting this need.

Established by the Hammer Board of Directors, this is an investment fund which produces yearly income in support of our mission
General Endowment Funds
Through dollars earned from Hammer's Endowment Funds, we are able to develop programs, cover unexpected costs, and resolve challenging issues.
